Trapper Haskins an Extremely talented songwriter will be releasing his music to the world on Saturday. The best part is - the release is happening right here in McMinnville at the Magness Cafe around 8:00. The CD is titled ALLUVIUM and I had a blast shooting the cover of one of my FAVORITE old houses! If you can identify the house - I can guarantee you an autograph!
Seriously - this is some great music and should be a fun time. Hope to see everyone there!
Well, we are in the homestretch on the studio - just a few more finishing touches - well some carpet - some paint and a little of this - a little of that... : ) I'm very excited about having a studio that will not be taken over by my band of roving musicians. ( A few of you who have had sessions in my home studio know what I mean!)
While I haven't shot any sessions in the studio, I did take advantage of the window light and one of my walls while shooting a session downtown. So here is the first pic in the studio and a pipeline peek of the recent session I did with the Eamon and Adie - you know Adie's eyes always get me!! :)
Here are a few shots from Cheyann's 10 month session to brighten your day! This girl can really ROCK an umbrella! : ) She got a wee bit tired toward the end of the day - but I can always count on Cheyann to give me plenty of genuine happy faces!!
Alyse is FUN - you know that if you know her - or even if you just happened to see her bridal pics on here. Her wedding day was no exception! It is obvious how much she cares for her family - including her new family and that everyone returns the feeling. I did not have a chance to meet Josh before the wedding day, but I think you can see from the groomsman's pic below - this is a match made in heaven! :)
We loved being part of this day - "from the shoot as fast as you can, we are freezing out here!" to the "Scrabble" game, to the way Josh and Alyse held each other after the ceremony it was alternately fun and touching.
We wish you only good things in your life together, but if you hold on to each other like you did in that moment, you can get through the bad stuff too - I have no doubt.
